Conheça mais sobre o material:

Approximately 1.2 billion years ago, Earth was very different from the world we know today. At that time, the planet was dominated by a supercontinent called Rodinia, surrounded by vast oceans. Over time, Rodinia began to separate and fragment into smaller continents, causing the Earth’s crust to stretch and fracture.

During these ruptures, volcanoes emerged and poured lava through the fractures. When the hot magma met the cold ocean water, it solidified rapidly, forming a green volcanic rock.

The contact between hot magma and icy water created structures known as pillow lavas. These features appear in the stone as rounded, light-green forms that create contrast and depth against the darker green background.

Every piece of Avocatus bears witness to the underwater volcanic eruptions that shaped Earth billions of years ago. It offers a glimpse into our planet’s turbulent and intense past, revealing a history of explosive volcanic activity and dramatic encounters between hot lava and cold seawater.

The quarry is located in the municipality of São Gonçalo do Rio Preto, approximately 60 km from Diamantina. Cerrado landscapes and mountain ranges provide the setting for an exotic, sophisticated material with a strong mineral identity.

Finish: Polished, brushed, honed, sandblasted, and others.

Applications: Commercial and residential, interiors and exteriors, floors, walls, countertops, panels, tables, kitchens, partitions, bathrooms, swimming pools, barbecue areas, and general decorative applications.
