White Shadow originated approximately 600 million years ago from sediments deposited in an ancient, tranquil sea. Over millions of years, these materials were buried and transformed by the intense pressure and heat within the Earth, giving rise to a marble whose surface now reveals the traces of this long geological journey.
Predominantly white and medium-grained, White Shadow features an elegant banded structure created by the natural contrast between dolomite and calcite. White bands richer in dolomite alternate with delicate gray bands dominated by calcite, creating gentle movement reminiscent of shadows passing across a pale surface. Its cohesive structure reinforces the material’s sense of solidity and visual continuity.
Quarried in the Alto Gironda mountain region, White Shadow preserves within its bands a geological history spanning hundreds of millions of years. Between the white of dolomite and the soft tones of calcite, each slab reveals a landscape shaped by time: understated, elegant, and naturally unique.
Finishes: Polished, brushed, honed, sandblasted, and other finishes.
Applications: Commercial and residential projects; interior applications; walls, countertops, flooring in low-traffic areas, panels, tables, kitchens (excluding wet areas), partitions, bathrooms (excluding shower enclosures), and decorative features.
